Pulmonary Medicine
Pulmonary medicine department provides out-patient consultations on all working days and inpatient and emergency referrals. The Department is equipped with state of the art Bronchoscopy and Medical Thoracoscopy Suite, Sleep and PFT Lab. Currently we are providing scientific and evidence-based management of respiratory infections including pneumonia, asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, tuberculosis, and sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnoea, lung cancers; and patients with liver diseases having lung related problems. Palliative treatment in the form of tracheal stent is provided for patients with neoplastic involvement of trachea on individual case merits. As a part of multi-disciplinary services, the Department is also able to manage cases of recurrent haemoptysis by bronchial artery embolisation with the help of Interventional Radiology.

- Dr. (Brig.) Debjyoti Bhattacharyya is a Faculty Member of "Indian Guidelines on Nebulization Therapy" under the aegis of National College of Chest Physicians (India) which has finalised the Guidelines awaiting publication.
- He also delivered Faculty lecture and Chaired a session in the Annual Conference of Pulmonary Medicine in November 2018.
