Translational Research in Hepatobiliary cancer-An Update
Cancers of Hepatobiliary system are increasing in India. These rather orphan cancers carry poor prognosis and have limited treatment options. The research funding and public attention is also limited towards these tumors. To accelerate new treatment options and research avenues Institute of Liver and Biliary Science (ILBS) together with University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Huston is organizing a mini symposium entitled “Translational Research in Hepatobiliary Cancer - An Update” on Tuesday, December 13th 2011 at ILBS.
The objectives of this half-day mini Symposium is to improve treatment options in hepatobiliary cancers, and to create an inclusive community which will identify strategies to overcome traditional medical research silos. This symposium will focus on the basic and translational research on hepatobiliary malignancy.
