Out-Patient Services
- Specialty Clinic
The Department runs Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) Clinic, daily for treating
- Alcohol related disorders (Harmful use, Hazardous use, Dependence, withdrawal) and
- Neuro-Psychiatric complications due to alcohol use Amnesia, Mood changes, Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, Seizures, Delirium)
- Psychosocial evaluation and Psychotherapy sessions MET, RPT are given.
In addition to Alcohol related Disorders the clinic provides Assessment and management of other substance use disorders including Opiod Use Disorder, Cannabis use, Benzodiazepine dependence.
- General Psychiatry
The Department has been providing out patient consultationfor General Psychiatric Disorders since 2019, which includes diagnosis and treatment of
- Psychiatric illnesses like Major Depressive disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, OCD, Personality Disorders, Sexual Dysfunctions, Dissociative Disorders, Sleep Disorders.
- Geriatric Psychiatric Disorders in patients with Liver and Kidney diseases
- Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Disorders in patients with Liver and Kidney diseases
Consultation-Liaison Services
The team provides CL services on Outpatient as well as In-patient basis.
- Transplant Psychiatry: Pre-Transplant and post-transplant psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and management of co-morbid psychiatric disorders
- Assessment and management of Neuro-psychiatric symptoms arising due to organic pathology in patients suffering from medical illness.
- Assessment and management of patients with medical illness having co-morbid psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders.
- Screening, diagnosis and management of in patients for Substance use disorder
In-patient Services
Department offers inpatient facility for
- Difficult to treat AaLD patients for AUD
- Complicated Alcohol Withdrawal syndrome in Alcohol associated Liver diseases
- Safe-comfortable, Detoxification of active alcohol users with liver diseases not able to abstain on outpatient basis
