My group; hepatic regenerative medicine focuses on development of regenerative therapy in liver failure with four core themes:

  • Understanding the pathophysiology of regeneration failure in liver failure
  • Bone- marrow liver cross-talk in liver injury and regeneration
  • Development of cellular and non-cellular therapy to prevent liver injury and augment regeneration in liver failure
  • Development of extra-corporeal bio-artificial liver assist device to support falling liver function in liver failure. Currently the group comprises of 7 researches (4 PhDs and 3 junior research scholar)
