Dr Shalini graduated from Calicut Medical College with distinction and completed her post graduation from the prestigious Dewan Chand Aggarwal Imaging and Research Centre, New Delhi. She was awarded the National Gold medal for standing first in the all India national board examination in Radiodiagnosis. She did her senior residency training from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education And Research, Chandigarh and G.B Pant hospital, affiliated to Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Due to her keen interest in abdominal and hepato-biliary imaging, she joined as faculty at ILBS and has done specialized work in transplant and hepato biliary imaging in the past 7 years. She was the core person involved in establishing the department of Radiodiagnosis at Institute of Liver and biliary Sciences (ILBS) with installation of Dual energy 64 slice CT scanner, 3T MRI, and Ultrasound machines with contrast ultrasound facility, portable ultrasounds, Digital X ray and Angiography suite. She has initiated and is involved in ongoing research work in the fields of MR Elastography, Multi spectral CT and contrast sonography in the department of radiology at ILBS. She is an accomplished orator and has presented various papers at national and international podiums. She has excellent publications in the field of abdominal imaging, where her core interest lies. She has more than 30 proffered papers and scientific exhibits to her credit.
