Dr Nilesh Patil did his MS in general surgery from Bangalore medical College and then completed MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from G. B. Pant Institute of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, New Delhi. He received training in complex gastrointestinal and minimal invasive surgeries. He was actively involved in research and academic work. Apart from being dextrous in performing difficult surgeries, he also published many papers in international and national journals. He pursued his speciality training in Liver transplant and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery from CLBS, Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. Before joining ILBS, he worked as an assistant professor in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology at SRMS, Bareilly. He has presented papers and posters in various conferences and authored many chapters in textbooks of G I surgery. His areas of interest are liver transplantation and HPB malignancy. |
