Dr Ashok Choudhury currently works as Additional Professor of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at Institute of Liver and Biliary Science (ILBS). He is a hepatologist, transplant physician and a clinical researcher using both pre-clinical and translational studies. He graduated from SCB Medical College Cuttack with 3 Gold Medals, 3 Honours and was the Best Graduate of the outgoing batch. His academic activities were appreciated globally with best abstract and fellow research award by American Association for Study of Liver Disease at Boston in 2014, Young Investigator Award by International Liver Transplant Society in 2016 at Seoul and also by Asia Pacific Association for Study of Liver in 2017 at Shanghai. He had full bursary and travel awards by European Association for Study of Liver (EASL) and was covered by the WebMD magazine in Europe. |

- Actively involved in the patient care both inpatient and outpatient as a consultant for hepatobilliary and gastrointestinal disorders.
- Lead role as a transplant hepatologist that includes- pre-transplant evaluation, perioperative care and post-transplant follow up.
- Hepatological Interventions- Liver Biopsy, Trans jugular Liver Biopsy(TJLB), Cardiac Catheterization and Hepatic Venus Pressure Gradient Measurement(HVPG),
- Basic & advanced endoscopic procedures -Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, enteroscopy and associated interventions, ERCP including complicated procedures for post liver transplant Biliary complications
- Endo-hepatology- EUS and hepatobiliary intervention
