Dr. C K. Pandey graduated and postgraduated from Moti Lal Nehru Medical College Allahabad. Before joining Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi, he worked as Additional Professor Anaesthesiology as Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Senior Consultant Sahara Hospital Lucknow. Presently he is working as Senior Professor of Anaesthesiology at ILBS. He conceptualized and spearheaded a DM in Organ Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care. This course is the first and only MCI recognized course in the subject so far. While holding various academic positions and working on liver related aspects of anaesthesia he has written a book entitled “Hepatic and Biliary Diseases: Anaesthesiologists’ Perspective” (the first book on the subject by an Indian author in the country). The book is a comprehensive review on the anatomy, physiology and relevant anaesthetic pharamacology of the liver as well the anaesthetic management of patients of liver disease posted for transplant and non-transplant surgery. He also wrote at chapter on Percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy with Ambesh T trach Kit in Principles and Practice of Percutaneous Tracheostomy.
