Details
1. As a part of Swachhata Drive cleanliness of the entryway, Kitchen area and uniforms along with the audit of the CSSD department were conducted on 05.08.2025 as per planner of the activities designed.
2. The various entry / exits of the Institute were thoroughly cleaned along with weeding out of the non required plants (weeds) which were causing defacement of the Institute. The Admin department taking care of the Horticulture actively promoted the cleanliness through cleaning contributed towards the beautification of the Institute.
3. The Kitchen department was thoroughly cleaned as a part of their routine activity which is being conducted on the daily basis. However, the cleaning was reinforced and meticulously done and was supervised by the Kitchen Incharge himself.
4. The Laundry department was audited for ensuring the accurate delivery of the cleaning process of the linen. It was ensured that the linen should not only be visibly clean but disinfection free. For this, the effective segregation of the linen was ensured i.e. the dirty linen must be handled separately from the soiled linen which requires pre – treatment of the linen before taking it for washing as normal linen.
5. The CSSD department was audited by the quality department to ensure that the sterilization activities are carried out in effective manner thus by not compromising the sterility of the products. To get the effective sterility of the load / pack, the use of chemical indicators (class 4) was ensured along with the use of chemical tape. The packing of the load was checked and ensured for its effectiveness along with the process of sterilization being used. No crisscrossing of the pre and post sterilization area was ensured. The pack sterilization was also verified with the load register with the proof of chemical indicator being available with each load that is being pasted in the register after sterilization of each load. In addition, to check the efficacy of the CSSD process, mock drills are also being conducted twice in a year in which the whole load is returned to the CSSD to be sterilised again just to ensure the integrity of the process.
