Details

1. As a part of Swachhata Drive, surface disinfection protocol were reviewed and BMW gap analysis was done for 11.08.2025

2. The SOPs related to housekeeping, mopping, cleaning and disinfection of the patient environment was done by ICN and Asst. Manager (Quality and Training). The SOP was reviewed and it was found to comply with the standards completely. However, any basic information such as spell check / any minor changes if required were done such as the designations of some staff. The ICN ensured that the housekeeping policy was completely as per the standards and protocol.

3. The policy on Cleaning and disinfection of patient environment was also reviewed by ICN and Asst. Manager (Quality and Training). The SOP was reviewed and it was found to comply with the standards completely. However, any basic information such as the concentration of the disinfectant to be used for disinfection was corrected at a couple of places i.e. the concentration was written double but in actual the required concentration was half.

4. The Biomedical Waste Gap Analysis was conducted by the BMW Nodal Officer – Additional Professor (Microbiology). She checked the whole cycle of the BMW management starting from the segregation of the waste at the point of generation i.e. verifying the collection, transportation and storage. The complete cycle was found to comply with the standards and even the waste in the central collection / storage area was found to be stored appropriately. The Bar coding stickers were also verified by the BMW Nodal officer to ensure the real time uploading of the waste on the DPCC website. The records were checked and verified for the Vehicle that collects the waste for final disposal. During the entire cycle BMW Nodal officer felt the need to train the on duty Doctors for effective segregation at the site of generation.
